For those seeking a more natural setting, Reedy Creek Park offers over 10 miles of hiking trails through a protected forested area. The park is home to the Reedy Creek Nature Center, which features live native animals, an exhibit hall, a classroom, a gift shop, and the Dr. James F. Matthews Center for Biodiversity Studies. While the trails are perfect for leashed dogs, the park also includes a dedicated off-leash area known as Barkingham Park, allowing dogs to socialize and play freely.
